“Realizing that ‘poetic license’ is allowed, I am writing up my family legends and memories . . . as seen through my ROSE-COLORED GLASSES.” —Colleen Johnson Platt
This collaborative history is her family’s attempt at pulling together the pieces of Colleen that we will want to access when we need her special spirit close. We will find comfort as we hear her voice again and relax into those long and delightful conversations previously held over the phone, through letters or, near the end, through long text messages punctuated with praise, gratitude, and double heart emojis.
Is there anything more important than for our families to learn how to live a useful and Christ-centered life? We hope that by knowing Colleen through her rose-colored glasses, readers will choose to pattern their own days in similar ways.
Because that is what an intentional and loving mother does. She colors the world for her children. —Roxanne Platt Thayne
